NASCAR Sprint Cup: Windows 10 400 from Pocono – August 2nd, 2015, Post #1

Let’s talk about the NASCAR Sprint Cup Windows 10 400 on August 2nd, 2015 at the Pocono Raceway in Long Pond, Pennsylvania.

There's an old joke that goes: What if Bill Gates had a time for every time Windows Vista crashed? Oh wait! He already does!

This Sunday, crashes won't be paying anyone (except maybe DraftKings who always seems to get paid...)

DraftKings is running a $3 entry NASCAR contest with a top prize of $10,000 – if you don’t have a DK account sign up here

Some Notes:
  • DraftKings has adjusted the scoring for NASCAR events this weekend – they no longer include Pass Differential.
  • DraftKings has adjusted the number of NASCAR drivers picked to 6 from 5.
Where to begin?

When I look at NASCAR events prior to looking at qualifying results, I’m always looking at track performance.  I summarized the key track performance indicators, courtesy of driveraverages.com, into the table below.  Driver Rating is a great stat to use when predicting NASCAR results as it summarizes all of the fantasy indicators into a single number.  The table below should help you start thinking about your lineups.  Once qualifying and practice results are in on Saturday, be sure to check back here for more analysis, projections and insights.
